These picnic blankets are so handy, they roll up and are secured with a strap and can be carried in this way with the handle.  They are waterproof on the back which stops the blanket from getting damp.  It means you can lay it on damp sand/grass and you don't get wet.  I have one of these in the boot of my car and it gets used all summer long.  Ideal for picnics and camping or just laying on the beach enjoying the sun.
